Our Breeding Philosophy

We value breeding to better the breed, the Vizslas that we have that we breed are true proven bird dogs and family pets. We look for health, bird drive, trainabilty, health, temperament, and personality in all of our dogs. Dogs that we own and breed to must have an OFA certification no sooner than the age of two and have a "good" or "excellent" rating on hips; and elbows are encouraged. Outside females that our males breed to must have OFA Certification of Good or Excellent, be proving their contribution to the Vizsla breed through showing successful involvement in canine sports or activities, with some sort of competitive tittle or points toward such tittle. They also must have a current negative brusolocis test for the protection of our males.

We encourage people to get involved with their dogs and allow the dog to have the opportunity to prove it is an asset to the breed through accomplishments in their sports. Hunt test, field trials, agility, conformation shows, even dock dog jumping are some of the activities that show a dog is of sound mind, body, and temperament, illustrative of the desired breed standard. We take breeding quality dogs very seriously and as a huge responsibility not to contribute to pet over population. We are happy to discuss this further however, if your female, doesn't have her OFA, or you do not wish to spend the money having the X-rays done at your vet, or she does not have any proven experience in regular seasonal hunting, sanctioned canine sports, or titles in competitions in the field, we would not consider breeding one of our males to her. We take breeding to better the breed very seriously and as a huge responsibility. Puppies we sell are all sold with a limited registration which can be lifted when our owners communicate their dogs accomplishments and OFA status to us.
