Along with Boots, we took in Bling his litter mate when she was five years old. Wanting to ensure she had a home and family that would care for her and Boots and also keep them in the field trial world competing, her former owner approached us about taking them in. She was a huge running dog in her day, frequently seen on huge grounds a quarter mile or more out and often found further away on our handheld Garmin Tracking device. Bling’s bird work has always been flawless, but like Boots, she took a bit to handle and get around a course without the need of a tracking device. Once we were able to build a relationship with her and help her learn we were working as a team, we were better able to have control of Bling at long distances. She came to us with puppy and derby wins at large respectable events. We were able to earn her FC and AFC tittle as well as have her handling well enough to win the All Age Classic in 2013. She gave us Henry and Rossi in a Cesarean Delivery, she was also spayed at that time. Being difficult in the Mid West to find grounds large enough to hold her run and having nothing more to prove after her wins and Championship tittles, she retired from field trialing in 2015. She enjoys house life and her Cozy Cave to the fullest!
